The Snow Queen towers over her castle from above, exactly where a ruler of ice and stars would choose to stand.
Beside her stand two wolf guardians who have never questioned her power since the time she turned her gaze on them.
From her open hands drifts constellations of snow and starlight.
As night falls, her glow comes alive, and lasts all night. In daylight, the painting has rich, icy blues.
A semi-satin varnish seals the surface, she is ready to dominate any wall.
This painting took approx. three months to finish. Halfway through, I changed the composition. The painting began much darker, the changes were worth it though even though I found myself frozen by her and not sure how to complete it several times.
Photographs with a warmer, yellow tone were taken under indoor lighting; the true colours are white and blue.
