In my painting East of the Sun West of the Moon, an enchanted prince in the form of a polar bear carries a peasant girl through a luminous night. The colours are deep blues, soft violets, and faint pink light. They travel together toward his castle, a place which was said to lie east of the sun and west of the moon.
The colours of the painting transform with changing light, revealing different tones in daylight, room light, and night. The aqua colours you see in are the glow colours coming alive after being fully charged.
