Super Bright Glow Art - A break between my larger works.

New art for the beginning of 2026. These are super bright sunsets for the day and then at night the starry night sky comes out to play! I'm especially loving the violet and amber colour combination.

The daytime colours are so bright that at night, with a very strong charge you can see them resonate in the dark with the glow.

I'm using my trusty painters light and really close up, so the glow paint charged up brightly in only a few seconds. You could use a UV light, (my UV light broke ages ago and I never found one to replace it.) You could also just use a bright room light for around 10 minutes before bedtime but with a room light charge you probably won't see all the colours echoing so much. You may catch a little of the greens and aqua's I painted them with.

I also used to use a 3000 lumen flashlight to charge my glow in the dark Stella Murals' star murals. Those high powered torches work really well so you can really see the colours pop!

After a little while the colours fade down to a typical 'glow in the dark' off-white colour. The off-white glow will last all night and fade sometime in the dawn.

These paintings should not be hung in direct sunlight as the intense daytimes colours may eventually fade, hang them in a well lit area though!

Now I'm off to paint another large fantasy character painting.

These little landscape paintings are like palette cleansers, between the harder paintings I'm still struggling with! The colour blends and free painting of my starry night skies are so cathartic, I paint them without needing reference, just go with the flow and enjoy the colours blending and the night skies with no over thinking or drama, or having to correct my mistakes. Just pure art fun. :)
